Abstract

In this age of information that we live, in which technology and online communication can be considered as the “propellers” of knowledge, there is a place for creative economy, the one that elects creativity as its center axis and as input for innovation. Creativity begins to have an aggregate value for society, for industries, for labor; and consumer markets are also being recognized for their economic value. Considering several aspects, especially those concerning culture, the incentive to creativity is defended due to its unbeatable capacity to generate wellness. It is within this scenario that the importance to preserve the copyright of the intellectual creators of any piece of work emerges, when there is an authorship and parenthood of the work that has been infringed due to plagiarism. Thus, the following work will analyze plagiarism within the scenario of creative economy, and will ponder over the question of creativity under the bias of criticism in a repetitive cultural industry of low originality.
