Abstract

Management is being analyzed from the relational perspective, understanding that the major contemporary issues in organizations go beyond the disciplinary vision. Traditionally, the forms and concepts adopted by managers to relate with each other and with other members and professional categories in the execution of common tasks and activities are disciplinary. Each professional category builds their own worldviews and these form the basis for the attitudes and actions in managing in an environment that strives for multifunctional and multidisciplinary cooperation. The objective is, thus, under the worldviews and relational approach, encourage understanding the exercise of organizational leadership. In this sense, the study rescues the critique of disciplinarity in general, and interdisciplinarity, in particular, raises questions about teamwork and proposes a relational approach in anticipation of going beyond the (inter)disciplinary paradigm.
